I had issues with klonopin when I was on it. I only got one prescription for it because all it did was make me pass out, and I got a "hangover" from it after it had worn off. I then switched to valium and it worked much better. From the ones that I have tried, I personally like Ativan the most, it doesn't make me tired or loopy or anything, unlike the other benzodiazepines I took, and it's quite effective for anxiety (and also as a muscle relaxer!). Perhaps you would benefit from at least trying Ativan.
Hi pinemen. Your other alternatives that I found were xanax and valium. There's very little info on the net regarding this.
I wish I could help you more. I take Klonopin and it works pretty good with Gabapentin and Lamictal.
I pray you get more info from our friends and I'm sure you will.
Have you tried an increase with seroquel? I know some people claimed it helped great with anxiety. Also for the anxiety valium may work better as PoisonAlice mentioned. Valium has the longest half life of all benzo's and may help. After long term use with any benzo's as well some antidepressants they can cause one to feel down and depressed. You definietly need to discuss all this with you psychiatrist.
Best of luck,
