I was prescribe this medication to stop my monthly cycles. I was given to different shots and was taking norethindrone 5mg twice daily because i have no insurance and do not qualify for medicaid and i have adnomyosis and need to have a hysterectomy but cant afford to pay for it. But this medication is very expensive.
This is the generic you are asking about, and nothing would be cheaper. What you can do is get a prescription for a brand name, then contact the manufacturer and ask for help paying for it. The other thing is doctors get samples of it and don't offer it, you have to ask. When I didn't have insurance, I'd ask the dr to make a visit to the sample room. You can also try any of these places to get help paying for it. The CoPay Relief Program 1-866-512-3861 or www.copay.org; or Suddenly Senior www.suddenlysenior.com/patientassistantprograms.html; or Needy Meds www.needymeds.org; and Partnership for Prescription Assistance 1-888-477-2669 or www.pparx.org www.freemedicine.com www.access2wellness.com
For medical care, find a teaching hospital. They have clinics and charge according to ability to pay. If it should happen that you need a hysterectomy going through them would get it paid for.
