... try for depression will almost always conflict with the Luvox because its a SSRI. I am just scared to come off Luvox because it saved me when I had a break down from both my OCD symptoms and panic disorder but I have been on it for 7 years so its worth giving another drug a try like anafrinl I am just nervous. FYI- I am coming off Wellbutrin which I incessited on because I have been on it for yrs. for depression and it has done nothing at for depression. I will see my new psych. and ask him to taper me off Luvox and go on Anfranil and then maybe I try something like pristiq for my depression
You sound like you have a plan. Just be open to what the new doctor, a specialist, has to say. You can't take the Luvox, a SSRI, with other SSRI's or with SNRI's because of something called serotonin syndrome. You can google it if your curious. I'm not sure that the doctor will prescribe the anafranil, a TCA, with another antidepressant such as a SNRI like Pristiq, but it is worth a try. I would seriously consider the Luvox or Anafranil with the Abilify. It is worth asking him about.
