for my cholesterol along with fenofibrate and atorvastatin. the county pharmacy used to fill it for me. I know its essentially fish oil caps but they were cheaper when prescribed. they began shipping me something called " DHA-EPA 200-300MG FISHOIL 1GM CAP" verbatim from the bottle. Problem is I use Walmart to fill my prescriptions now with the new health insurance program and the pharmacist is clueless as to what this is. I am just now getting my cholesterol levels to acceptable and don't know how much of a role this medication had in it. does anyone know how to decipher this medication to something recognizable?
Your doc that prescribed it for you so you could get it filled by the pharmacy which is cheaper for you than buying it over the counter should be able to describe to the pharmacist exactly what it is that you need. WalMart may not have that exact combination of fish oil so may have to substitute it for whatever is closest to it. Not all pharmacists are completely knowledgeable about supplements, so the doc or nurse at the doc's office should be able to explain the prescription. I hope that helps... Sorry I don't know about the meds you listed or the supplements to break it down for you. Good luck!
