So I've been on several different medications for anxiety. I've taken Buspar, Vistaril, propranolol, and also anti depressants. I have found no relief with any of these medications. what are some others I could see about trying? Thanks in advance.
I also, have tried different meds for anxiety I take 3MG of Klonopin a day and Seroquel for really bad days as needed.
I use clonazepam, it works well for me. There’s also Ativan which works very well too, Valium, Xanax.. talk to your doctor, some antidepressants go better with different types of benzodiazepines. Hope this helped
Hi, for my anxiety I use benzodiazepines as required rather than taking them habitually as a prophylactic. Habitual daily regular use of benzodiazepines leads to medication tolerance, lower effectiveness and drug dependancy. Some anxiety is normal for most people so I tend to find taking medication when it really interferes with my life to be the best solution for me.
The only thing not mentioned that I’ve taken is clonidine. I also took the extended release after a while. In the end the only thing that’s really helped is therapist who’s willing to challenge me.
Hi! Have you had your thyroid checked and vitamin levels? I have anxiety caused from thyroid issues. I am normally pretty amped up anyway but refuse to be put on medication as I know many people who are and there are always side effects or problems coming off of it. I deal with anxiety naturally. I take 250mg of magnesium supplement as it has been medically proven to assist with calming the body and reducing anxiety. I drink chamomile tea before bed, meditate, exercise 30 minutes daily, and take a B complex vitamin supplement, vitamin D, fish oil, and am getting ready to add hemp oil to my regime. My anxiety came out of nowhere and lasted almost 3 weeks daily off an on. It was terrible! But it was caused from a thyroid med and hormone replacement therapy I was on. Which I'm on day 3 of coming off of, and already feel better. Good luck, and I hope this helps :)
