Did you email them personally or your Medical practice? If they were sent from a home computer they may be malware or virus infected. Some places also will not accept emails with attached PDF's or attachments of any kind. Sometimes it is the email account used that won't be accepted: Yahoo and Hotmail are known to be vectors for viruses and malware and are often refused.
Phone the intended recipient and ask what types of computer files they accept and which get automatically filtered out and deleted.
You might be best posting a hard copy instead.
