I have been on Luvox for years. Most of the time I feel fine. Then out of the blue I feel like its not worth it and why do I bother with meds, because I feel like they are not working anymore.
Hello Joeyh193. The various illness(s) have always existed. The past 40 years or so has the science itself evolving and the drugs to help fight them as well. What a few years ago a person would be behaving nervous whenever in public it might have been said that she/he was shy and that is the reason for the anxiety, today might be labeled under SAD or Social Anxiety Disorder. In regards to psychiatric drugs they are meant to help a person live a productive life, or rather function to the best of thier capability. These drugs are not the cure all or end all, they are an aid to help a person get along in thier daily lives. There is no "cure" or magic pill. People take and remain on thier medications often for the rest of thier lives. Medications are often changed, as do the doses simply because of newer drugs coming along or that our bodies have built up a tolerance to them. Regards, pledge
