I'm waking up multiple times during the night from reoccurring nightmares and I get so scared to the point I wake up and can't breathe. ☹️ This happens in cycles and they are continued dreams and I'm too scared to fall back asleep. I get super frustrated about it and just wanna cry. The only thing I noticed that helps is when I'm cuddling with my boyfriend and I move around so much during the night so it barely ever stays that way and there's times we don't see each other for weeks on end due to him being in the military. What can I do to help all of this?! I'm so hopeless at this point. :(
Hi Sarahbrosky! I'm sorry that you are going through this. Nightmares are just awful, especially when you get so scared you can't go back to sleep easily. Do you have post traumatic stress? If this is really bothersome like it sounds, my suggestion would be to ask your doctor if they can give you something to either help stay asleep or for the nightmares themselves. I was on a medication for awhile for nightmares and while I still had them once in awhile it still helped a great deal. Good luck!
Hello friend I have a little experience here as I am an ex health professional I would say you are suffering with GAD generalised Anxiety disorder meaning your conscious mind is literally in a stressed worrisome state generally most of the time I would say it's a psychological response to fear and constantly worrying of which in your partners case being a soldier is so understood as his life is in danger so I think GAD possible Ptsd post traumatic stress Disorder you poor individual I send you love and understanding xxxx
