Macrodantin - I am 37 weeks pregnant and my doctor prescribed me Macrodantina,should I be worry?

Yes - The use of nitrofurantoin (Macrodantin) is contraindicated near term (38 to 42 weeks gestation) and during labor and delivery because of the potential for induction of hemolytic anemia in the neonate due to low levels of red cell glutathione in this population.

Check that your doctor is aware of this risk. (You could show him/her the link below)

Antibiotics are often prescribed during pregnancy. As long as the Dr who prescribed the meds knew you are pregnant, you should be just fine!
