I personally have never taken Cymbalta.I also do not suffer from the horrible pain I have heard about your condition. And I pray I never do.But I do know, personally from other people... that they agree this is a good drug. I have not heard anyone say anything, but what a great medication it is.And although it took them up to 3 weeks to get some relief,it was worth the wait. And that they highly recommend it.Sorry, not sure that this helps you,but I can only give you advise I am certain of.Hope you stick with it and give it some time to let your body adjust.I hope it helps you.Good luck!
Both the Cymbalta & Lyrica work really well with Fibro pain. It usually takes 3 -4 weeks to get to a therapeutic level to know if they are truly helping or not. You did not mention how much dosage why they have started you on ?
Also one thing I might mention is that about 1/2 of the people that try thE Lyrica that they have too many side effects especially water retention among other.
If I were you go ahead & look up what side effects you should watch for. And if you have any of these side effects talk to your Dr. as they can always try & stop the Lyrica & try a Neurontin
(Generic is Gabapentin) it works like Lyrica but without alot of the side effects.
Good luck I hope you find the right combination to help you with your pain. Kathy
