Azithromycin (brand name Zithromax ~ available in generic) is the oral antibiotic of choice used in conjunction with oral Mepron liquid to treat babesiosis, a coinfection of Lyme disease (also a tick-borne illness).
In terms of treating Lyme disease with oral erythromycin, please confirm with your doctor.
