... start getting cramps this early. Could I be pregnant or is it a good sign my period will come?
It looks like, by your questions, that you are bleeding and having cramps early and you are wondering about miscarriage? If you have been taking your pills correctly, every day at roughly the same time each day, then you have about a 1%, or 1 in a hundred, chance of pregnancy. If you have missed pills, especially more than one last month, then chances are a bit higher for pregnancy. Bleeding and cramping early is not necessarily a miscarriage either. Sometimes it just happens, especially if you have just started taking them (BCP's) in the past few months. If there was a miscarriage you would see a lumpy mass of tissue that doesnt look anything like normal clots-you would have no doubt in most cases. If you saw a large mass of tissue in the toilet or in your panties then it is probable that you had a miscarriage. If this mass of tissue was expelled, you should place it in a jar or ziploc so the Dr can look at it and determine whether or not the whole contents of conception were fully expelled (yes, even if it means fishing it out of the toilet) Of course if it was already flushed, there is not much you can do but describe what you saw. If your bleeding is just regular bleeding then it is not likely that it was a miscarriage. Birth control pills are not an exact science and neither is ones body. It may not always, always be regular. Even if you have been on the Pill for years, it is possible that you may have breakthrough bleeding some month. It just happens and it is nothing to worry about.
