... This time I skipped the last white pill because it seemed pointless, too, and also I was concerned it would interfere with my levothyroxine, or v.v., as I took that so late in the day that day.
No, stick to your pill schedule. You don't see a point in taking the last white pill? Try birth control. Never skip active pills. Never alter your schedule no matter what your bleeding is doing or not doing. Its not going to interfere with your levo if you're taking the levo the way you're supposed. At least 30 min before breakfast on an empty stomach with nothing else other then water. We all have thyroid hormone and take birth control pills, they don't work against each other.
You never ever skip active pills even if you get your period. The point of taking them is to keep you from getting pregnant not when your period comes. Skipping and missing active pills decreases the effectiveness of the contraception! You stick to the schedule and take ALL the active pills no matter what your body is doing! If you dont want to take the inactive pills, that is your choice but if you want the contraceptive to work right to keep you from getting pregnant, you need to take ALL the active pills. It doesnt matter what your body does-keep taking them as they come in the pack!
