I am starting my injection today before work, I don't know if that's a bad idea or not. Has anyone had pain and unbearable discomfort after first shot that day? I hope not... Also, I am 17 and diagnosed with endomytriosis in november 2011. Am I the youngest one on here asking about this? I'm curious what I should be watching out for, or any thing other people have been able to use for discomfort like tricks or tips I can use if any come up?
Hi and welcome to the site, hurricanehaley... You are not the youngest person on here and this question hasn't been asked in the recent past. The best thing to do is read the information that came with it. Paying strict attention to the procedure itself, injecting yourself properly and proper disposal of the needles. You could experience some bruising at the injection site. That is common. You might experience some of the night sweats but again maybe not. That is why I suggest that you read everything that came with it and understand how to give it to yourself. I don't think you will have any unbearable pain from it. There is also lots of information if you search for "lupron"... and try not to make yourself nuts over it. It can take a few weeks before your periods get lighter, for instance. If they don't... be sure to talk with your doctor.
I just wanted to add here that when posting questions in the future, it is better to post them as "conversational" so that we can interact more with you. When posting as "direct" we can only reply once. I know you didn't know that but you get to make that selection just before hitting the "submit" button.
Take it easy... it will get easier with time.
