I am going to be starting the lupron shots for endo in a few weeks and everything I have read about it just sounds horrible. I posted a question on here before, but some other conversation got started and I didn't get any advice. So if there is anything anyone can tell me about it. Positives maybe? I know that 6 months of hell is worth it for 5 plus years of feeling normal, but its still one of those things where reassurance is wanted. Any advice or feedback on the lupron shot would be much appreciated. Thank You!
I haven't used Lupron shots myself but the links below have reviews, which you may find useful. All the best.
I am just finishing up my 6 months of Lupron. I had been in pain for years and years before with my endometriosis. It is literally the only thing that has helped me feel better. The hot flashes aren't that bad... you get used to them and if you make light of them, it's ok! Other than that, the only side effect I've had is decreased sex drive, which my husband is having a hard time with. On that same note, though, I'm able to have sex that does not cause immense pain with it. Good luck, and seriously, it won't be that bad. :-)
I wanted to give you another positve answer. I see from the comments you started on it already, but some encouragement is always nice. I've been in pain from endo for a long time and had surgery. It helped some but because there was still pain I started lupron. There are side effects. But it has considerably reduced my pain thus far. I would take the side effects over the pain any day. I'm happy I did it regardless of all the horror stories I read online prior to. Hope the same is true for you!
