it for more than 10 years for stage 4 endometriosis
I took it for 2 years. I was on the 3 month injection, but I asked my doctor if I could take a break because I read that it wasn't good to take for more than 6 months. If the pain returns I will go back. My last shot was February.
I've been taking Lupron Depot for almost 6 years. I'm doing well, compared to the painful years and suffering. I wonder how long I should be having it. I am scared a of going back to extreme pain if I stop taking it.
I was on Lupron for 1 year after being diagnosed with endometerios. I had one shot every month. Came off it in March- just waiting for my cycle to start to I can start trying for a baby.
I was diagnosed with endometriosis for 5 years now also I've been on lupron shot for 5 years,I just went to see my gynocologist yesterday Nov 8th, and she said the longest you should be on it is 6 months. She also said you can develop bone loss, osteoporosis which is not a good thing, so I was taking off of it,going for an ultrasound Tuesday Nov 13th, plus to get a dexa scan which channels your bone mass,to see if you have bone loss or osteoporosis. Be aware of how long you take it. It works of course but in the long run you may develop problems with your bones.
