I am 17yrs old and I am about to start the Lupron for 3-6months I've been fighting endometreosis for going on 4yrs I've already had 2surgeries and this is my last option I'm scared I'm not ever going to conceive but I won't a kid someday soo bad all this is stressful and idk what to do? Am I going to have alot of trouble conceiving and what do I have to worry about when I start these treatments?!:/
I have had endometreosis ever since I got my period when I was 12. I am now 24 years old. I was on birth control for 4 years but since finding out my family is more likely to get blood clots, I had to stop using any birth controls that could cause a blood clot. My biggest fear is that I will not be able to have children one day. For the past 3 years I have sucked it up and have dealt with the pain when I would get my period but after it got so bad that I had to miss work many times, I decided to try the Lupron shot. Last month was my last shot after using it for 6 months. I had a lot of side effect from the shot such as depression, headaches, weight gain, joint pain, forgetfulness, hot flashes, and being tired. Even though those side effects sound bad I still don't think it was as bad as having a painful period every month. In the long run I know that it helped pause my symptoms of endometreosis and helped me one step closer to having children one day. I hope this helped you out!
Hey. I'm 22 years old and I'm about to be starting my lupron injections this week. I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 19. I've had two surgeries since then. I wish I could be of more help, but I know from what I've heard that the Lupron will help increase your chances of conceiving! I'd love to hear how the injections are going for you and what kind of side effects, if any, you've been having.
