Have experienced weight gain (among other side effects). Was looking for help/recomendations to increase metabolism to counter the weight gain.
I'm not nor ever have been on Lupron, but I've been on many different meds for BPD most of which cause significant weight gain. I take B12 sublingual liquid daily (there are NO clinical studies to support weight loss on B12, but lots of REAL people claim it does) and I also take green tea pills (I'm not as disciplined with these as the rest of my meds... I skip a lot). The only "exercise" I get is from cleaning my house and picking up after my 3 year old Granddaughter. I also Eat what I want (not overindulging) and limit my Fried Foods (except McDonald's French Fries). Although I've never lost a lot of weight fast on these (I lost 35lbs in a 2 1/2 year period), I have NEVER gained weight on my other meds throughout the years.
Another thing, I read a few years ago that eating some type of Dairy product after meals somehow helps you metabolize faster (some meds tell you to not eat/drink dairy, though).
Anyways, I'm no expert, i'm just giving you my personal experiences. I know I never gained weight before my Bipolar meds and I blossomed to 208Lbs. and tried Everything to get it off and nothing worked. These things I mentioned did help me.
Good Luck... we just can't win for losing with some of these meds!
