Tonight will be the first night I have ever taken lunesta. I was given the 2mg samples at my doctors office today to try out because I have a hard time getting to sleep. I wanted to know other people's experience with their first time. How long does it take to work? What should I be prepared for? Any type of info or help would be much appreciated!! Thank you
Here is a link for you to patients who have used Lunesta.
Here in Canada we have zopliclone (immovane) with lunesta its also called ezopliclone... I think it's the same med? I've taken 1mg every night for years. I have built a tolerance and dependence but without it I won't sleep at all. It works good enough that I do take it every night still. I start with half a tablet then take the other half if I'm not asleep in an hour. From what I've heard lately they're linking early death to sleeping pills, something to consider. There are other meds that work for sleep that aren't real sleeping pills, like Ativan and elavil.
