I have had a lump on my knee for about a year now. It is larger than a quarter, hard, and moveable. It hurts to press on, and sometimes I will have random shooting pains throughout the day. It hurts especially bad when I hit it on something (as I do often because I'm clumsy). I have no history of trauma to the area, but I am a dancer, so I do perform maneuvers that land on the knee (that hurts. so. bad.). I went to the doctor, got MRIs, but they will not be read until I get blood drawn.. that was months ago... I'm scared of needles! Anyone else had a similar lump? Please share!!
Could be as benign as a ganglion cyst. Not sure I understand why they won't give you the results from the MRI until you have blood work done. You paid for the MRI; you are entitled to the results. Anyway, I understand being afraid of needles. Just explain that to the lab tech and turn your head away so you can't see. It will be over in no time. Never as bad as we imagine.
