lower back pain, pain in buttocks on down right side to my foot, can't stand up or walk no longer than 10 to 15 minutes before pain starts. I have symptons of stenosis of the spine and sciatica nerves, have set up appt for lower back x-rays
Narrowing of the nerve spaces in the spine, and there are lots of them is the problem. Just one small hole in which a nerve travels through can began to narrow with age or injury. But that one small hole or canal may have the nerve that controls our right or left leg going through it, and as it encloses or "Pinches" the nerve one has severe pain, numbness, and even paralysis.
I am at a place right now myself where after 3 fusion neck surgeries the disk above the Fusion site has ruptured and it is putting pressure on both my spinal chord as well as my esophogus. On top of that the space called a "Foramen" in which the nerve to my right arm is contained is slowly being closed in on. Normally surgery would be the first option in my case, but because I have already had 3 Fusions Surgeries my neck is just a giant ball of scar tissue and won't heal right, so my outlooks are not very good.
Steroids and Micro surgeries to protect that nerve and the chord are in my future, otherwise I am going to either slowly become paralyzed from the neck down in a long and painful process or I am going to chock to death suddenly on a bit of food, and swallowing has alreadt become difficult.
