Anytime muscle weakness, tingling, and/or numbness occurs nerve involvement is likely. If the symptoms do not resolve in a day or two, you should probably see a physician. If your insurance permits go straight to a physiatrist, (physician of physical medicine and rehabilitation). This physician is not a surgeon but specifically trained to treat spine (upon other) conditions. You can always go on to a surgeon. Starting at the PM&R specialty ensures that you won't immediately be considered for surgery.
