i was sent for a physical limit test and the following day i was really sore but the left are was really in pain its been about 5 weeks and the pain is still persistent. it is in the bicep and maybe the tendons all the way to the hand i have been taking lyicac and celabrex for the back but nothing is helping the arm, I called the place and talked to them about it and they told me it would go away thank you for your time .
I had the same symptoms about 3 years ago. My whole arm from the shoulder down hurt. I couldn't hold a cup or even OPEN a gallon of milk! It ended up being tennis elbow. I know it sounds crazy because I DON'T PLAY TENNIS! But, I got a few injections and I haven't had any problems with it since. I have lower back pain too and my pain meds. didn't help my arm pain either.
Referred pain can be very interesting. I have LBP and a bunch of nerve compression issues arising from my lower spine. My arms go numb, so I completely understand where you are in this big mystery. I'm sorry you are suffering with this unfortunate symptom for as long as you have. Gabapentin has helped relieve some of the pain and numbness, muscle weakness ... etc. Lyrica did nothing for me, but I've had this particular problem for 10 years. Hope yours gets better quicker than mine. Your pain and loss of motor function, I think, would be considered acute not chronic. You should have several options available for you to try, physical therapy for one.
Talk to your doc and if need be, get a referral to a neurologist. Couldn't hurt more...
Anywho, good luck, God speed, and let's all vote for pain free days.
