... been piercing them and squeezing the contents onto a spoon to take them. Now the label says "on not opne, crush or chew the capsules. Take them intact". Why? Galaxo Smith Kline has not answrred the 2 emails that I sent them already with this question
Lovaza is made using a 5-step refinement process that removes impurities, ensuring a safe and pure product. Also, this refinement process removes some of the fish oil components that cause the "fish burp," and it is thought that Lovaza is probably less likely to cause the fish burp, compared to the supplements.
Perhaps it is not recommended to open, or crush the capsules as the contents could be contaminated, never did hear or read of capsules being chewed, as perhaps the capsules are used to mask the bitterness of the contents & or perhaps the contents are not possible to 'compress' into tablets.
Please do also seek help for the doc/pharmacist who prescribed the med, take care & be well.
