Usually once you stop taking birth control pills, you return to fertility pretty quickly. Most docs say to give it at least six months before trying to get pregnant. If you have been off the pill for more than six months and you are still trying you might want to consult an OB-GYN. If the OB-GYN thinks there is any problems they can refer you to a fertility specialist. Sometimes it can take 6 months to a year of trying to finally get pregnant!
