I lost my hearing in left ear 9 mos. ago. Went to ENT and there was not wax buildup or fluid but he put a tube in my ear, did balloon surgery on sinuses, removed the tube but I still can't hear and he has no idea what happened. My ear just keeps a popping all the time.
How did I lose my hearing in my left ear when the ENT said there was no wax buildup or fluid?

Loud noises can cause that yes. What I ended up with is Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss. It's moderate to severe and permanent for me. They told me the membranes behind my ear drum are dead and they don't regenerate. They said surgery won't help and neither will a hearing aid.
