I cannot afford the 40.00 per month for Losartan Potassium! Is there something I could buy that would be less???
Losartan IS a generic (for the brand name drug Cozaar). It may help you to ask around to different pharmacies. Some offer drugs cheaper-call around to different pharmacies and ask for prices. Dont forget to try places like Sam's and Costco-you dont have to be a member to use their pharmacy-you just tell them at the door you are there for pharmacy only. You can also try the CoPay Relief Program @ 1-866-512-3861 or www.copay.org; or Suddenly Senior (you dont have to be a senior to use) at www.suddenlysenior.com/patientassistantprograms.html; or Needy Meds at www.needymeds.org; or Partnership for Prescription Assistance at 1-888-477-2669 or www.pparx.org; and Patient Assistance at www.patientassistance.com
I'm not sure about Losartan Potassium but I was just put on Losartan 100mg and it's 14.46 at Walmart. It may help if you explain your situation to your doctor, there are so many blood pressure medications on the $4 list at walmart that he/she can most likely find something that will work for you that will better fit your budget, trust me I'm in the same situation so I feel your pain. Best of luck to you
