I feel very dizzy and shaky and my anxiety is worse and I'm having trouble reading and writing right now. This is my first time taking it so I don't know if I should go to sleep.
7mgs is far to much lorazepam to take at one time. Yes, you could sleep it off, but don't take more than the prescribed amount for fear of respiratory depression. If you are planning on taking this medication as prescribed on a regularly basis, be aware you can not just stop it abruptly. If you do, it can cause a seizure. It is very important to be under a doctor's care and follow their instructions carefully.
Did you take more pills than you were supposed to take? Or is this a typo? Here is the usual dosage for adults.
Usual Adult Lorazepam Dose for Anxiety:
Initial dose: 1 mg orally 2-3 times a day.
Maintenance dose: 1-2 mg orally 2-3 times a day. The DAILY dosage may vary from 1-10 mg/day orally.
If you took 7 pills, you took way too much!! Call your doctor and see what he/she suggests for you.
