I've taken the SSRI's for several decades n now besides not actually working as will as the SSRI's did, I've ended up with serious breathing problems. Which took me almost a full year to recover. I'm still taking sinequan/Doxepin and the smallest amount of Prozac when needed. The Zoloft n Xanax was what caused the problem with breathing n was the worst to get off of. It was absolutely horrible to go through it & to get over it. This might be a surprise, but it was worse getting off of Zoloft than it was Xanax and took longer... For me anyways. Any info on this would be appreciated. Thank you & G B
I'm confused, you"re taking the Prozac as needed rather than every day? If so, the Prozac is probably not doing much as it has to build a certain blood level to be effective. As far as whether you could take SNRI's if SSRI's are a problem, is hard to say. It is a trial and error sort of ordeal. You do have the option of a DNRI's which would eliminate the sertonin from the picture. Getting off any antidepressant without having withdrawals is difficult especially if done too fast.
