I am 48 years old and had a hysterectomy in 2000. I have been very poorly for coming up a year and have had various procedures to determine what the problem is. I had a colonoscopy which the endoscopist queried endometriosis. The consultant has prescribed Zoladex for the initial period of six months and I had my first injection in my tummy four days ago. The initial injection did not hurt in any way but as time went on that day the pain was unreal. I do have a nice big bruise as well which I suppose is only to be expected. I am hoping that this is going to work but I would just like to know how long this takes before the pain starts to disappear.
I am 29 years old and now into my second week on Zoladex for endometriosis (12 month course).
This is my second time on these injections, the first being 2 years ago.
The pain does seem to get a bit worse for the first week or two, so please don't be disheartened, it does get better.
It's almost like every pain is intensified for this period.
I am only presenting nausea, fatigue and headache symptoms at the moment, no flushes, but I can't remember how long that took to kick in the last time around.
From my personal experience, you'll notice the biggest difference from around the time of the 2nd injection.
Hope you start to feel better soon!
