I have been on Effexor for over 18 years and due to financial circumstances and losing my insurance I have to come off the medication abruptly.I'm unable to go back to the doctors at this point to get more meds and the withdrawals are horrendous with the popping in my head in the uncontrollable crying. Please someone give me hope that there is an end in site. I came off of 150mg daily but have been all the way up to 375mg daily for over 18 years.
This should never happen to anyone. Did you look at the market place for insurance. You have to have some kind of insurance by Feb 15. I will tell you that when I lost my insurance I got my effexor from a pharmacy in Canada. My dr approved it. You do need a prescription. There was a huge difference in price. I can't tell you how long this is going to last for you but I recently stopped it after more then ten yrs. I tapered off over a month and I had no problems. Its just a shame you have to suffer for this reason.
