I'm 16 years old and I have been getting shoulder pain towards the bottom of my shoulder for over 3 years now. It is especially bad after writing a lot or taking tests even if I try to sit up straight. I play volleyball and tennis but my shoulder is normally not bothered by the movements I make while playing sports.
I was 18 years old when I had the same symptoms. I played softball, but did not find out that I needed Rotor Cuff surgery until I finally decided it was time to see my doctor for an x-ray. My shoulder did not hurt when I played softball or went bowling--only when I was sitting down and not moving my shoulder. I encourage you to see your doctor. This sounds all too familiar.
