How long can a patient use clobetasol propionate 0.05%? My husband has been using this solution for years and I am concerned about long term health effects.
Please have you or your husband look up Dr. Marvin Rapaport. You are looking at your husband going through a debilitating course of "Red Skin Syndrome" if he stops the Clobetasol. It is considered "hell on earth" not to be entered into lightly. I stopped it and am in my 6th month of recovery (again. Hurt too much the first 2 times I tried to go off). It generally can take 6 months to 2 years to recover, some take longer. There are support groups on Facebook too but please check out the Drs Q & A on YouTube. I wish him comfort and health moving forward. I pray a safer more comfortable protocol to get off these super potent steroids comes about one day. Take care.
