Androgel is the brand name of a topical testosterone medication. It is commonly used as a form of hormone replacement therapy for males suffering from low testosterone (hypogonadism).
The most common side effects of the Androgel are skin itching, blistering, or redness at the application site. Pain in the extremities has been reported with Androgel but it is uncommon. If this is becoming a problem for you check with your health care professional.
