Levothyroxine itself is not a weight loss drug. Having an under active thyroid has been a part of your weight gain because of the bodily systems it affects. Getting your thyroid levels back within normal range will help you in losing weight, but it won't do it for you. Unfortunately you'll still have to do the diet and exercising. Good luck!
