I had start up dose plus a second one 4 months later. I thought after start up dose I was feeling better but now I am worse. I am ready for another dose. My question is my RA is worse. Can I expect for the next treatment to help me or should I move on? I have tried so many of them already. Enbrel worked fabulously for 8 yrs until reaction. I have been battling RA for almost 40 years. Only 19 when I got RA. Any help would be great. Thank u.
VJL; you should first talk to the doctor about how you are feeling it could be adding something with you shot. Or different people need this shot more or less often. I would give it a little more time but make sure you let the doctor know how you feel. I THOUGHT THIS WAS INTERESTING YOU MIGHT ASK THE DOCTOR ABOUT THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY BEEN ON THIS COMBINATION.(((( patients with RA, premedication with methylprednisolone 100 mg IV (or equivalent) is recommended 30 minutes prior to each dose))) also there is a good possibility that after some time if one of these other medications does not work as well or get you where you want to get that after laying off of like in your case the Enbrel it may be worth giving it another try. Just don't give up I wish you the best. Please go over it again with your doctor and see what the options are.
