My doctor has prescribed Oxybutynin for bladder and urethra spasms and other pain of the urethra and bladder area. She said it would take a while for it to be effective. I have been taking it for about two and one half weeks now. Spasms have decreased but I'm not cured (probably never will be). I am wondering if it is safe to take for a long period of time. I am reading these questions of people on the medication for six months to a year.
