It all depends on the person. Also, if your talking about it disappearing all together, that will take some time. You may go without a period for quite a few months and then your periods might start again and be irregular. I have had the implant for 4 years. the first three years i had the implanon, and last Aug. I got the Nexplanon . I still get my periods and they arent regulated. they can be anywhere from 3-7 days, light- heavy... I got used to it so its not really bothersome anymore.
