My psychiatrist prescribed me Lexapro I started on 5 mg for about a month then went up to 10 mg it's been 2 months now since I've been on Lexapro and I feel like my anxiety is the same and kinda worse because I can't even go outside without thinking of having a anxiety attack? Should I continue to take this drug?
Oceangirl19; It is at its peak now and should be giving you some results could be another dose change most people get the best results at 20mg every day and take it about the same time each day. But to reach the full blood level so you know is from 6 to 8 weeks to reach the full benefits of this medication. But you really should talk to the doctor about a change in medication or dose.stick with it for now but also remember that when you do go to stop this drug you have to go off of it slowly to avoid withdrawals. Don't give up it is not uncommon to have to try several different medications until you find the right one. Chuck1957
