My partner 36 got cirrhosis bout 3 year ago.he died for about 6 minutes told him to stop drinking for the past 2 year he's constant drinking from when he wakes till he goes to sleep.I've tree helping him all he says is that he's cheated death befor he can do it again.now I'm getting worried he told me that he was in a previous relationship with his other partner that had liver damage he woke to her being dead.I'm just scared to be going threw same.
Its hard to cheat death when he's not able to clot his blood and he starts bleeding from everwhere. Dying of cirrhosis is not pleasant but it is one thing, uncheatable. My partner died of liver failure from cancer, and he was jaundiced, in the end almost unconscious, and in pain. It is irreversible.
Hi, in this situation, his body could give up at any point. People in this situation have been known to go to bed one night and either wake up with end stage liver failure & jaundice, or not wake up at all. Things can progress that quickly. As Kaismama has said, he can't cheat cirrhosis, he may be able to beat the odds in life expectancy, but if he continues to drink he will die. Sorry to be blunt. I can't imagine how hard this must be for you to witness and live with. I'm so sorry you are going through this
