I was on effexer and the doc switched me to prozac bc of terriable nightmares. I just wonder since ive been on the effexer for 1month the prozac should start working immediately right??

Wrong, it takes a minimum of 2-3 weeks, for some 4-6 weeks. From my personal experience (which may have nothing to do with yours, so keep that in mind), "energized" is the last thing Prozac will make you feel, so, if after 4 weeks you feel sluggish and unable to think, you'll know it's not for you.
If that's the case, you'll want to be sure you do not stop it abruptly either.
