... affect u if taking metropol for heart palpitations and simvastain for cholesterol?
Be very careful with passion flower.
I took a quick scan of med journals and emedscape (woltersklewer's drug database, updated by the CDC).
passion flower has NEVER been studied as a single or multi-drug agent anywhere, anytime, anywhen. Thus, no one knows how it interacts with any drug over any kind of population.
It does have some anecdotal evidence of being mildly useful for anxiety and other conditions, but it's just that... anecdotal. that means patients have reported using it to doctors and doctors noted it in logs and reported it upwards. It doesn't mean the patients were telling the truth or that other things didn't do it.
if you are taking medication for a heart condition or blood pressure, i would absolutely recommend against taking any unstudied medication without first thoroughly discussing it with your doctor to see if they can better advise you on a medication that would work for you without interfering with your conditions and situations.
