I'm just wondering if the antidepressant in tramadol takes the usual 6-12 Weeks before you notice it?
Please do not start taking Tramadol. Its a death pill and you can read thousands of horror stories about the withdrawal. I've been taking tramadol for 3 years and said enough is enough and had my last one Sunday morning. Since then its now day 4 and I cannot eat, sleep, sit or stay still comfortably. RLS. BRAIN ZAPS due to the discontinuation. Its HELL on earth to get off of. PLEASE, for your own sanity use ANYTHING but tram a hell!! I wouldn't wish that poison on my worse enemy!!
Tramadol is used for pain not depression. It does work on the serotonin levels its main response is to the Mu opiod receptor in your brain. This drug has one of the highest levels of risk for seizures even at therapeutic doses. I would as your doctor for something else. It can also be very habit forming for some people. Best of luck to you.
