I was on Cymbalts 30 mgs. for one week, then started taking 60 mgs. for a week now and I am very emotional, feel terrible, stomach upset and haven't felt any positive effects yet. On an average when do most people notice a difference? I am so afraid I have chosen the wrong drug.
kiasmama is right. It takes on average about 4 weeks for this drug to work. Now, if you feel that your symptoms of depression are getting worse OR if you start feeling suicidal... DO NOT HESITATE TO TELL YOUR PRESCRIBER!!! These are actually adverse reactios to the drug. Hope things get better for you.
I am taking cymbalta 90 mgs and I remember when I first started taking it that when I reached 60mgs I felt better but after a month of that my Dr raised it to 90 and I feel much better! If you can stand it try it for a month then go to 90 mgs if it doesn't get better then you need to try another medicine. I noticed a difference after the third week. Good Luck
