My derm put me on Bactrim DS 2 tablets per day 11 weeks ago to try and clear up outbreaks on my shoulders due to trauma from waxing. He also has put me on a lotion containing salicylic acid to apply once daily then wash off after 10 minutes. I am a 25 year old male who has previously had near flawless skin and this reaction to the waxing occurred nearly 12 months ago. Since being on it the outbreaks of yellow filled pustules have stopped but the red marks still get worse whenever I sweat or am really cold. I am so worried that this will never get better. Is there any hope that it will improve with the Bactrim and lotion that I am currently using?
