Been off the the depo shot for about 5 years now and have been actively trying to get pregnant for about 6 months now and nothing what are my options
Most women find that by around the 10 month stage after there last shot was due, they can conceive. For others it can be up to 18 months.
I suspect there is a hormonal imbalance involved, & that may or may not be connected to the Depo Provera.
What you can do is get a bottle of Agnus Castus, by A. Vogel. It is known as Vitex in the USA, I believe.
You need to take the maximum dose (I use the tincture/liquid) which is 15 drops twice daily. Even if you think you're periods/cycle/hormonal symptoms are changing already, keep at the maximum dose for a good few months. You can then reduce it to the maintenance dose of once daily, if you prefer.
I used it to get regular ovulation after stopping Depo, & it has also eased my PMS. It is totally natural.
YOU CANNOT USE IT WITH HORMONAL BIRTH CONTROL, BECAUSE IT IS LIKELY TO WORK AGAINST IT.
