I was wondering about getting the novocane and the gas at the dentist because I am having a couple of fillings done. Will either of these cause me to have an episode of afib or anything else? I've had them both but not since I got diagnosed with afib.
Dentists use novacaine with epinephrine in it to stop bleeding, but that epinephrine could cause your heart to beat rapidly. If the dr put you on any anticoagulants you need to make the dentist aware of that too. The best thing you can do is call your dr and see what he says about it. Gas for fillings?
