My wife is on thyroid medication, and needs her prescription refilled. We moved here recently from 2 hours away.
If you have refills on her prescription at your former pharmacy, they can call and transfer them over to the new pharmacy of your choice in your new town. Just call the new pharmacy with the phone number of your former pharmacy (or vice versa) and they should be able to take care of it for you. If she has no more refills, then you are going to need to either contact your Dr in your former town to see if he will prescribe until you find a Dr in your new town (you may need to make the drive back for one more appt or he may be willing to just call in one more script) if not, then you need to quickly find a new Dr in your new town to write prescriptions for her and the sooner the better as it can take weeks to see a new patient sometimes.
