does anyone take wellbutrin that has liver disease? My husband was just put on this drug for his depression. He is disabled and has lost his sense of 'being a man' and thinks of himself as a 'burden' I think he needs to take something to help him out of this. He contracted Hep C from one of the medical proceedures he had. I just would like to know if any one has experienced an side effects effecting their liver.
I've been on wellbutrin for 20yrs., without liver problems. My dose is 450mg. in the morning. Hep-c really complicates things. Once a month liver function tests must be done. Other factors for my success are; no alcohol, low fat,low salt, vegetarian diet.As well as slightly under wieght. My 'gut' is asking, 'does your hubby need this strong of a medicine?' My prayers are with you. It might be helpful to keep a journal,to see if it is working on the low mood.
