... in the doctors won't say they say its to late for the hep c shot and for a liver transplant he seems to be doing OK he has had to go to the hospital 2 times for bleeding and had to be given blood from loosing so much he almost died both times so how do I know what stage he is in and how long he has to live
Treatment for HCV is not a 'shot', it is a course of oral antivirals. Your partner is not eligible for a transplant unless he has been sober more than 12 months (any drink gets you off the list); they don't give livers to everyone. The amount of time he has left is up to him. Diet, diet and diet are the three most important things to remember. Treatment for HCV is critical.
